My world title ambition still on course-IIoh

Knockout specialist, Great Jude Iloh has declared that he has not given up hope on a crack at the World Light heavyweight title blaming the delay on the COVID-19 that ravaged the World in 2020.
He stated this shortly after recording another 3rd round technical knockout against Mohammed Razak in their National Light heavy weight challenge fight held Sunday at the Brai Ayonote Boxing gym of National Stadium Surulere Lagos.
Iloh told our correspondent that the fight is one of the series of elimination bouts he is fighting in preparation for the much anticipated world title fight.
“I’ve said it on several occasions that my target is to win a world title but that ambition was cut short by the COVID-19 Pandemic. But am happy that my killer punches are still with me and anytime the opportunity comes, I won’t disappoint Nigerians”, he said
Iloh who described his opponent as a good fighter noted that he never planned for knockout but took the opportunity when it came.
” I must salute the courage of my opponent for accepting to fight me and he showed he’s a strong boxer but I give God the glory that I was able to knock him out.
” You know in all my fights, I don’t prepare for knockout, I always prepare hard to beat my opponent but the knockout comes naturally because I will first size up my opponent, weaken him with hard punches before going with the killer punch which normally results to knockout and I want to assure my fans that they’re yet to see my best”, he stressed.
Meanwhile, in the other fights of the day, Samson Adegoke recorded a 4th round technical knockout over Isiaka Omoakin in their National welterweight challenge contest with Azeez Popoola stopping Idris Aloma in the first round of their Light welterweight challenge.
Also, Taiye Fajimi recorded a unanimous points decision victory over Ogunnade Ayorinde in another National Light welterweight fight with Michael Adesodun beating Nureni Sholola by unanimous decision in their National Light weight clash just as Dimeji Salami fighting in the Super middle weight class stooped Babatunde Idowu in the 4th round with Opeyemi Ibrahim recording a 3rd round technical knockout over Simon Chukwu in their National Light welterweight challenge contest.
Rising female boxer, Ayisat Oriyomi in her second professional fight, defeated Christiana James by a unanimous decision in their National female flyweight challenge contest .
The fight was promoted by Lagos State Boxing Initiative and sanctioned by the Nigerian Boxing Board of Control ( NBB of C).
