GWR Fight : Bash Ali’s Petition To Be Heard By National Assembly Thursday
..NSC Chairman summoned to appear before committee

The petition written to the House of Representatives by the former World Boxing Federation Cruiserweight Champion, Bash Ali on his planned Guinness Book of World Record Fight will be heard by the National Assembly tomorrow, Thursday, November, 12, 2025.
Bash Ali on Tuesday, October, 28, submitted a petition to the Federal House of Representatives through the Majority Leader of the House, Hon. Prof. Julius Ihonvbere presented a petition to the National Assembly, requesting for intervention in the first Guinness World Boxing Championship fight on the soil of Africa.
In the same petition, he alleged that corruption and unlimited impunity among top government officials have stalled the fight and sabotaged the economic benefit the country will benefit from the fight.
In a motion of summons to the Chairman of the National Sports Commission dated 10th November, 2025, titled ‘Petition No 729 of 2025, Bash Ali Boxing Project’ and signed by the Chairman National Assembly House Committee on Public Petitions, he was advised to appear before the committee on Thursday, November, 13, 2015 at Room 429, New wing of the National Assembly.
The Sports Commission Chairman was also advised to appear before the committee with one soft copy and 20 hard copies of his brief on the matter.
