Ibom International Convention Centre: We will deliver high quality work – Craneburg DMD

The Ibom International Convention Centre, located behind the Tropicana Centre in Uyo, is expected—upon completion—to meet the highest standards and stand the test of time.

Speaking with this reporter last Saturday in Uyo on behalf of Craneburg Construction, the contractor handling the project, the Deputy Managing Director (DMD) of the company, Mr. Johnny Sassine, assured that Craneburg is committed to delivering high-quality work for the state.

He emphasized that the company is widely known for its commitment to quality and affirmed that all necessary measures are in place to complete the building within 18 months, as directed by the Governor.

Craneburg Construction is a Nigerian infrastructure company with a longstanding reputation for delivering durable and high-standard projects.

Mr. Sassine, who oversees the company’s building division, disclosed that the 5,000-capacity centre will include a car park designed to accommodate over 650 vehicles comfortably.

He further stated that the convention centre will meet international standards and feature state-of-the-art facilities.

“Our job is to deliver the entire project within 18 months—and that’s exactly what we intend to do,” he said. “We are not delaying a single day, no matter what. We’re committed to making sure it’s ready on time—better than promised.”

He added, “We want His Excellency, the Governor, and the good people of Akwa Ibom to be pleased with us and proud of what we’ve delivered.”

Commenting on Governor Umo Eno’s second year in office, the Craneburg DMD expressed his appreciation for the trust placed in the company’s capabilities, noting that the Governor has demonstrated clear capacity and leadership in just two years.

He congratulated the Governor on his second anniversary in office and expressed hope that the Governor will achieve even more in the remaining years and beyond. He also prayed for continued good health and strength for the Governor to sustain his impactful leadership across the state.
