IHF Trophy: Nigeria U-18 handball team earn comfortable victory against New Caledonia

Nigeria U-18 team, on Wednesday, defeated New Caledonia 37-29 in their quest for glory on the Day 1 of the IHF Trophy Championship in Kosovo.
The Coach Emeka Nnamani tutored team who had been in camp in Lagos before jetting out to Kosovo started on a bright note with the likes of Farouk Kareem dictating the team movement but fell short 7-5 within the first 10mins of the game.
The team rallied back into the half and took control of the game to end the first half 19-15.
New Caledonia started the second half trying to reduce the tally but the Nigeria fighting spirit from the Coach Emeka Nnamani team opened up from the advantages gotten from the New Caledonia to run the down in the second half and pick the win 37-29.
Nigeria Mustapha Mohammed picked the player of the match award at the end of the game.
Nigeria will now face host nation Kosovo in their next game.
