YSFON commensurate with SWAN, Oboh’s family over his death

Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria ( YSFON) has commensurated with Sports Writers Association of Nigeria ( SWAN) over the death of one of its committed member, Mike Oboh.
Oboh, a veteran sports journalist died two days ago after a protacted illness.
In a statement by the Federation signed by its national Secretary, Patrick Okpavuerhe, the body described the late Oboh, former chairman of Kano State chapter of Sports Writers Association of Nigeria as a committed journalist and a friend of YSFON who is always interested in reporting YSFON activities anywhere in the country.
” The news of Oboh’s death came to us as a big shock and the legacies he left behind in his chosen profession will be difficult to fill even as he said the Federation will seriously miss his services.
The statement while praying God Almighty to grant his soul eternal rest also prayed that God will give his family the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.

Meanwhile, National President of YSFON, Dr. Yusuf Gawuna has described the late Oboh as a trusted journalist whose services will be greatly missed.
” I’m really saddened by the death of Oboh who as a seasoned sports journalist, took interest in YSFON activities and we will surely miss his services and wise counsel”, said Gawuna who also doubles as Deputy Governor of Kano State.
