Ilaji U-16 Tournament: Home Boys Face Ekiti As Youths Celebrate International Exposure

The week-long Ilaji U-16 National football tournament will be concluded this Saturday after interesting fireworks amongst Nigeria’s gifted youngsters.
Homeboys, Ilaji U-16 team will confront their Ekiti State counterparts in the final.It has been quite tedious for the teams who gave their all
Before getting to this stage, Ilaji boys defeated Sanusi Boys 2-0 while, Ekiti team defeated Kwara 2-1 in the semi-finals, other teams like Lagos, Kebbi, Ogun, Katsina and Oyo were all outstanding.
As all eyes turn to the final match, dignitaries from all walks of life are expected to add colour to the event
The Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, Commissioner of Youth and Sports Wosilat Adegoke, Nigeria Football Federation’s Director of media and Publicity Ademola Olajire amongst will be in attendance
By way of giving to the Youths, Sponsors of the tournament presented sets of jerseys to the finalists
CEO of Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort Center, Engr Dotun Sanusi, who was represented. by the Chief Operating Officer of the Hotel Prince Adesina Araoye says the gesture is a way to encourage the teams.and give them a brighter future.
Various trophies for the best goalkeeper, Most valuable player highest goal scorers amongst others were also presented to
organisers of the tournament ,the Youth Sport Federation Of Nigeria YSFON
In appreciation, YSFON National Secretary Patrick Okpavhuere and vice President South/ West, Abayomi Rafiu Alabi commended the sponsors for encouraging Nigerian Youths promising to maintain the tempo.
According to YSFON, 17 players were discovered by the football scouts from Malta who were led by Dr.Justin Fenech, President of SwieQi FC
The Maiden edition of the Ilaji U-16 National football tournament no doubt has given the Nigerian Youths the wonderful opportunity they have been looking for. After the closing ceremony, it is believed that football in Nigeria will be given the necessary upliftment for the good of all
