Imo Sports Commission gets new Director, Lady Akpulo

In line with WA the Imo State government’s determination to revitalize and reposition sporting activities in the state, Lady Justina Akpulo has been appointed the new Director of Sports to head the Imo State Sports Commission, (IMSC).

Lady Justina Akpulo, the 20th Director and 5th female to head the Commission has an enviable record of winning several medals for the State and  Nigeria under Grass Hoppers Handball Association, Imo State.

Before her  new appointment, Lady Akpulo had served as Head of various Departments in the Imo State Sports Commission and left remarkable imprint of achievements which prompted her elevation to the plum position of a dyirector.

Meanwhile, the staff and management of the Commission have congratulated Akpulo on her appointment describing it as well deserved.

In a press release issued Monday, information officer of the Commission, Ngozi Achinihu hinted that the staff joyfully welcomed the new Director of Sports as she officially resumed duty last week.

According to her, the delighted staff prayed God Almighty to help Lady Akpulo carry out her functions diligently and uplift the commission to greater heights within the state, national and international level.
