Jewish Media Honours Traffic Officer, Rewards Him With N500,000 Cash

Last Thursday, the ever hectic and chaotic Warehouse Junction Owerri, Imo State capital was for about 10 minutes thrown into standstill, amidst pomp and pagentry, as Ikemefuna Jewish Media Organization honoured Inspector Chidiebere Uche, a Traffic Police Officer, as the Most Outstanding Traffic Warden of the year in the state, based on his conducts, dedication, puntuality and consistency in his place of duty.

The award which was presented to him with the cash gift of N500, 000 by Mr. Ikemefuna Mbelu, a seasoned Journalist, the founder and Director of Ikemefuna Jewish Media Organization Foundation before Mr. Aboki Danjuma, Imo State Commissioner of Police, the Imo State Head of Police Traffic Unit, Area Commander Owerri Metropolis, and ACP Micheal Abattam.

Others include; Evangelist Bethram Uzodinma, the Imo State Chairman of Police Community Relations Committee ,(PCRC), the Imo State Commander of Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Sir Chima Chukwunyere, the immediate past Chairman of Police Community Relations Committee,(PCRC), and DSP Henry Okoye, the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO Imo State Command among other dignatries.

Mbelu who expressed gratitude to God for the humanitarian activities of the Non Governmental Organization, NGO informed that the Foundation is dedicated to his late father, Mazi Herbert Ebubechukwu Mbelu as a pay back to his father who motivated him in life and made sacrifices just to ensure he had the best life can give even as the deceased never went to school.

“My late beloved father sold properties to ensure I went to school. It was a vow I took in 2021 during his painful burial that I will immortalize his name through a Foundation, that would bring succour to humanity, this award is specially dedicated to him.

“Every year we nominate people through our system who have done exceptionally well in their endaevours either in academics or work’s place.

“Thus, one of our staff nominated Inspector Chidiebere Chinedu for his examplary performances in his duty post as Traffic Control Officer at Warehouse Junction. For 3 months, unknown to him, we beamed our searchlights on him. We were overwhelmed with his daily dedication and passion to duty, always smiling with deligence while on duty.

“One thing special about the award is that it’s backed up with positive kinetic spiritual energy because at Ikemefuna Jewish Organization, (IJO), we have heavenly and spiritually sanctified prayer intercessors who prayed for the award and those receiving it.

“The Foundation Awards are open doors to the recipients. They are endowned to be followed with favour, grace and promotion, and that’s what Inspector Chidiebere Uche is going to reap, apart from the cash prize of 500,000 Naira” he assured.

The Foundation’s Director also informed that the award is equally guided by public opinions that described the recipient as an exceptional Traffic Warden with passion for the job, good character and pedigrees.

“We believe that Inspector Uche Chidiebere, activeness as a Traffic Warden reflects positively on the view of the general public, concerning the Nigerian Police”.

The NGO Founder further pointed out that, the essence of the award,and choosing Inspector Chidiebere’s chaotic and hectic work place environment for him to receive the award, is a symbolic way to caution people who speaks ills against the Police and especially the Traffic Officers to know that there’s the need to appreciate them and the good work they’re doing, instead of always casting aspersions on them.

“In the same manner, for his fellow Traffic Officers, to know that the public are observant of their daily activities and the need for them to work with caution and patriotism so as to earn the public confidence and trust, because the publics are committedly watching”.

He applauded the State Commissioner of Police, CP Aboki Danjuma and the State Head of Traffic Police Officers for their tremendous support and endorsement of the recipient.

Mbelu also informed that the awardee name will be included in Ikemefuna Jewish Organization, IJO Hall of Fame Award Recipients and often times, the organization invites her award recipients for regular appraisal and interactions of maintaining their ambassadorial positions for the organization.

“We renewed the awards from time to time with cash prize of more than 100,000 Naira from the organization” he firmly stated.

Responding, CP Aboki Danjuma commended Ikemefuna Jewish Media Organization for recognizing the deligence of one of his workers noting that the recognition will act like motivational catalyst to others.

Danjuma also commended the recipient for making the Command proud and enjoined him not to take the award for granted, while appealing to his colleagues to emulate his good gestures.

Adding his voice, Inspector Chidiebere Uche, the award recipient expressed gratitude to God and his family for always being with him.

Uche thanked Ikemefuna Jewish Media Organization for honouring him for doing the job he passionately believed in.

He pointed out that he never knew that people and organisations notices his dedication and commitment to duty, assuring that the award have motivated and reinvigorated his commitments to duty positing also that the cash gift will boost his family economic life activities.
