Lagos FA Cup: Inter Lagos victory excites NNL Chairman

Chairman of Nigeria National League ( NNL) Mr. George Aluo has congratulated Inter Lagos Football Club for their victory in the Lagos FA Cup finals.
Inter Lagos Sunday at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena ( Onikan Stadium) defeated NPFL side, Ikorodu City FC by 5-4 penalties to be crowned champion of the state FA and Aluo believes the victory is evidence of the quality of the second tier League.
“I’m very happy with the victory of Inter Lagos in this year’s Lagos State Federation Cup finals. The victory is an indication that clubs plying their trades in the NNL are of great quality and can withstand any opposition in the round leather game.
” However, their victory did not come to me as a surprise considering what they’re presently doing in the most important League in the country and I say a very big congratulations to them, hoping that they’ll do us proud in the President Federation Cup”, he stated.
Aluo charged all the NNL teams to emulate Inter Lagos and go for victory in any competition they’re part of, noting that he’s confident they’ll put up the same quality like they did last year when teams of the second tier League dominated the President Federation Cup which was eventually won by an NNL side.
