Lagos State Football League 2024/2025 : LSFA Chairman Hajji Liameed Charges Teams On Discipline, Fairplay And Top Class Performances
Ahead of the 2024/2015 Lagos State League season, which kicks off March 19, 2025 across different centres in Lagos, the leadership of the Lagos State Football Association led by Hajji Gafar Liameed, has laid down the gauntlet for the teams participating in the state’s elite league championship.
Speaking at the well-attended draws and unveiling of the football league held at the LSFA secretariat in Surulere, the FA Chairman, Hajji Gafar Liameed charged the participating teams on the need for them to be very disciplined on and off the field during the championship.
He stated that discipline is key to any successful adventure, as he also emphasises the importance of fairplay during the championship.
Gafar said, “Let me further advise the teams and particularly the players, to put in their best performances at all times during the matches, as the matches of the league would get the needed publicity and media mileage that would be beneficial to the players, officials, investors and stakeholders in financial and sporting terms,” the highly-regarded Lagos FA boss stated.
Meanwhile, a total of 14 male and 10 female teams are expected to feature in the much-anticipated football league championship.
Meanwhile in the draws, Diadem Stallions, Lekki Junior Strikers, Chekas Utd, Fc Heritage , Bucknor Fc, Team 360 and young Strikers are to play in the Atlantic Conference while Utmost Fc, Ibeju- Lekki Utd, Arubinjaga, Unizee Boys, DN10, SGH and Ighalo Fc will play in the Mainland Conference.
In the women league, Victorious Angels, CAT Ladies, Ghetto Tigers, Phonex Queens and Great Stars Amazons will play in the Atlantic Conference while Unizee, Edufoot, Unification Ladies, Victory Queens, and Aisat Yusuf will slug it out in the Mainland Conference.
The draws also shows that the first match in week one will be between Diadem Stallions and Lekki Junior Strikers in the Athletic Conference with Chekas Utd standing bye.
