Lagos teams dominate Day 2 of Ardova Handball Premier League

Tojemarine Academy won the battle of Lagos on Tuesday as they defeated city rivals, Lagos Seasider Boys on Day 2 of the first phase of the Ardova Handball Premier League 2024 in Benin City, Edo State.
In what turned out to be an incredibly interesting match, Tojemarine Academy tutored by Coach Shittu Adewunmi Agboola, defeated the Seasider Boys 33-26 to continue their push for a first league title.
In other matches in the men category, Safety Shooters are leading the league table for the second straight day following their comfortable 35-17 victory over Adamawa Warriors while Correction Boys kept Sunshine Kings in check with an easy 33-23 win.
Rima Strikers earned a 33-27 victory over a Kano Pillars side that lacks motivation and drive while the De Defenders were defenseless against the onslaught of a rampaging Niger United as they succumbed to a 30-15 defeat to the defending champions
In the women category, the Seasider Babes of Lagos will continued their lead in the Ardova Handball Premier League log following their inspiring 38-30 victory over Rivers Queens while Rima Queens defeat former champions, Plateau Peacocks 22-20
Defender Babes, shrugged off their Day 1 loss as they bounced back to deal with COAS Babes with a 44-22 victory while Imo Grasshoppers continued in their winning ways as they earned a 35-27 victory over Delta Queens.
Defending champions, Safety Babes are still unbeaten since 2022 following their massive 41-18 victory over host, Bendel Dynamos.
