Lagos State has won both the boys and girls football competition at the ongoing 7th National Youth Games holding in Asaba, the Data State Capital.
In the boys category the State of Excellence defeated their hard fighting Plateau State counterparts by 2-1 while the girls walloped Ogun State 5-0 to make it an all Lagos affair.
The girls who were unstoppable in the game, gave their opponents no chance of scoring a goal as they dominated the match from the first minute to the final whistle to ensure the state grabs the two goal medals in football.
Meanwhile, the host state , Delta claimed gold in the girls 4×400 meters relay team beating Ogun State and Rivers to the 2nd and 3rd positions respectively.
