Longers Anyanwu identifies Uzodimma as a national key player

As political appraisal is being accessed, ahead of the forthcoming coming anticipated but increased national political activities, Chief Longers Anyanwu has identified Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State for his visibility in national politics, warranting the Presidency in endorsing him as the National Ambassador for the Renewed Hope Agenda Initiatives.

Anyanwu who’s a chieftain of APC and a Senatorial hopeful in 2027 for Imo North Senatorial Zone (Okigwe) said this during the last Monday well attended strategic but critical political stakeholders meeting of Obowo local government area of Imo State held at the council Secretariat headquarters auditorium, Otoko and convened by the Council’s Executive Chairman, Barr Obioma Ehirim Johnson.

Anyanwu who rejuvenated the entire hall with songs and courageous statements applauded the council area APC stakeholders for working together and further canvassed for the sustenance of the meeting, which he boosted with one million Naira donation to the political party.

The astute politician also commended Imo State Governor Senator Hope Uzodimma, describing him as the true Ambassador of the Renewed Hope Agenda, reiterating that his governance ingenuity has restored dignity, recognition, and national relevance to Ndi Imo and Ndi Igbo at large.

He said it point blank, that Governor Uzodimma has proven through actions and vision, that an Imo son can play a decisive role on the national political stage, noting also that the governor’s human oriented policies and programmes speaks for themselves, as they are impactful and visible across the State.

Anyanwu who’s popularly known as Ebubedike Obowo observed that the stakeholders’ meeting was convened in line with the Governor’s directive of sustaining the political party through regular sensitisation and grassroots mobilisation.

He expressed satisfaction over Governor Hope Uzodimma’s Shared Prosperity Agenda Initiatives giant stride achievements citing the reconstruction and rehabilitation of the Obowo–Owerri express road as a clear testament to the administration’s commitment to infrastructural developments adding that the Imo State Health Insurance Scheme has equally recorded remarkable success despite initial skepticism.

According to him, “testimonies from various wards confirm that many residents have accessed quality healthcare at no cost under the scheme. I personally enrolled over 40 persons from my electoral ward, many of whom are already benefiting”.

He informed that political participation is only possible for the living, describing the State health insurance initiative as both visionary and humane.

The former Commissioner for Agriculture and Natural Resources in Imo State, passionately called on party members to demonstrate their support for Governor Uzodimma not only through words but through concrete actions, particularly by intensifying voters registration efforts.

He urged stakeholders to ensure that all eligible citizens aged 18 and above are captured in the voters’ register, noting that mobilisation at the ward level must commence immediately after the meeting.

The Senatorial hopeful further reinforced the appeal for aggressive party expansion through the ongoing APC e-registration exercise, emphasizing that the party has no barriers to new entrants.

He explained that the flat e-registration system ensures equality among members, regardless of when they joined the party.

Anyanwu further said that APC is the only dominant political force in Obowo council area, noting that the party enjoys about 95 percent acceptance within the local government area and its environ, with the remaining percentage largely attributed to residents in the diaspora.

Highlighting the essence of political party in winning election, Chief Anyanwu noted that APC remains focused on winning elections at all level,from the Presidency to the Governorship, National Assembly, and beyoud through unity of purpose, structure, and strategic plannings.

He further commended Governor Uzodimma for restoring peace and security across the state, attributing the current calm environment to deliberate investments in security personnel training and support.

The political pundit also acknowledged the role played by the Obowo Local Government Chairman in providing logistics and financial assistance to security operatives during their training, describing it as further evidence of effective grassroots leadership.

On economic empowerment, Anyanwu lauded the Federal Government’s empowerment programme initiated under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, which targets 1,000
beneficiaries per ward with a monthly stipend of ₦100,000 for three months.

He described the programme as a major economic boost that would significantly impact local economies, especially if extended beyond the initial duration.

Anyanwu disclosed that during a recent visit to Abia State with Governor Uzodimma, even non-APC governors acknowledged and expressed support for the Federal Government’s programmes.

The revered politician urged party members in Obowo to remain steadfast, united, and proactive in strengthening the APC, assuring that the party’s achievements at both State and Federal levels remain unmatched.

Highlights of the meeting includes; the donation of N1m by Hon. Longers Anyanwu just for boosting of the political party’s activities in the area and passing of votes of implicit confidence on Governor Hope Uzodimma and the Council’s Executive Chairman, Barr. Obioma Ehirim Johnson.

Among the eminent personalities that graced the meeting and also spoke are Barrister Chris Okewulonu(Ebekuo Dike), Engr. Alex Mbakwe, Lady Patience Mbakwe, Dr Raymond Emerenini, Dr Godrick Anosike, Chief Ihechere, the State Youth Leader , APC LGA Chairman and all the LGA EXCO among many others.
