The Confederation of African Football (CAF) on Friday released the AFCON 2025 Group Stage Best 11 with 2024 African Footballer of the Year Ademola Lookman of Nigeria making the team.
The Atalanta of Italy ace who has scored two goals at the tournament with two assists is joined by Yassine Abdi of Tunisia, Carlos Baleba of Cameroon and Morocco’s Brahim Diaz in the midfield.
The forward has the trio of Sado Mane of Senegal, Amad Diallo of Ivory Coast and Algeria’s Rihaz Mahrez.
Edmond Tapsoba of Burkina Faso leads the backline with Congo Democratic Republic’s Axel Tuanzebe and Noussair Mazraoui with Mohamed El Shenawy in goal.
Eric Chelle of Nigeria is named as the coach of the team in the group stage.
