Tag team wrestling, is a type of professional wrestling in which fights are contested between teams of multiple wrestlers. These teams may be made up of wrestlers who normally fight in singles competition or made of established teams who wrestle regularly as a unit and have a team name and identity.
The term “tag team” has since become synonymous with two or more people who alternate or cooperate in participation in an activity and these Nigerians say they are a perfect match to rule the wrestling tag team world.
It’s on record that there’ve been instances of blood brothers as tag team partners in wrestling and one will not easily forget the exploits of such brothers as ; The Von Erichs comprising of David, Mike, Kevin, and Kerry Von Erich who have their own unique talents and gimmicks and also not forgetting the Steiner Brothers; Rick Steiner (real name Robert Rechsteiner) and Scott Steiner (real name Scott Rechsteiner) who wrestled in WWE and around the world and these Nigerians believe they have more unique tricks and gimmicks than the above mentioned fighters, declaring that a training tour of Europe will help sharpen their skills in the sports that’s made for real men.
” We’v made our mark in the Pro- Wrestling Africa tag team championship and we believe this is the time to take our exploits outside the shores of the African continent and take Europe by storm”, began the two wrestlers known for their tough tactics, reflexes and acrobatic displays.
” Going to Europe, most especially Spain for further training and exposure will not only prepare us adequately for the task ahead but will give us the opportunity to show the rest of the world the stuff we’re made of and that Africans have what it takes to rule the mats man game”, they chorused with confidence.
