YSFON President felicitates with Muslims on Eid-El-Fitr
President of Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria ( YSFON) Dr. Yusuf Nasiru Gawuna has facilitated with Muslim faithfuls on this year’s Eid- El- Fitr.
In a statement he personally signed, the former Deputy Governor of Kano State, congratulated Nigerian Muslims for a successful 30 days fasting and wished them Allah’s guidance and blessings.
He also urged them to use this period of the Salah as a sober reflection and continue to pray for the peace of the country.
” I want to say congratulations to all Muslims for a successful Ramadan and Eid-El- Fitr celebration and to urge them that as they celebrate a successful fasting period, they should
continue praying for peace, progress and development of the country.
Gawuna who a fortnight ago sent similar Easter message to Christians reminded Muslims that the Ramadan symbolizes new beginnings and spiritual rejuvenation after a month of purification, offering ample opportunities to sustain the positive habits cultivated during Ramadan Just as he advised Nigerians to live harmoniously with one another.
Meanwhile Gawuna has charged all the teams participating in this year’s 28th Chief of Naval Staff U-14 boys and NAOWA U-18 girls football competitions presently going on in Enugu to play to the rules of the game and avoid acts capable of bringing the championship to disrepute.
He noted that the competition which will end on Saturday is one of the flag ships tournaments of the Federation and he’s looking forward to a successful completion of this year’s edition.
