Uzodimma congratulates Adamu, APC NWC on election, successful Convention

Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State has congratulated Alhaji Abdullahi Adamu on his emergence as the new National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Also, Governor Uzodimma expressed his appreciation over emergence of all the members of the APC National Working Committee (NWC) who were elected at the Party’s National Convention on Saturday.

The Governor also has kind words for all APC members, particularly the delegates and observers from Imo State who showed great solidarity that made the APC Convention a huge success.

In a statement by Governor Uzodimma on Sunday he described their emergence as a call to serve the largest Party in Africa.

The Governor’s message read: “On behalf of the Government and good people of Imo State, I most heartily congratulate His Excellency, the Distinguished Senator Abdullahi Adamu, on his emergence as the National Chairman of our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the just concluded National Convention.

“In like manner, I congratulate other elected members of the National Working Committee (NWC) who have been called to serve in further strengthening of the largest Political Party in Africa and in the transformation of our Nation, Nigeria.

“The peaceful and successful conduct of the exercise, is a product of the unity and internal democracy flourishing in the party. I therefore, compliment every member of our great party (the delegates, observers and others who couldn’t make it to Abuja), for the level of maturity exhibited and the brewed zeal in delivering much more than democratic dividends to Nigerians.

“The election of Senator Abdullahi Adamu as our National Chairman together with his National Working Committee (NWC), came appropriately at a time when the toughness of our great party’s fabrics were tested. As a true nationalist with unity and peace in the league of his virtues, I am confident that Senator Adamu would bring his wealth of experience and resourceful skills to bear in the strengthening of our party for greater service to the nation.

“In a special way, I felicitate with Imo Delegates / Observers and indeed others from across the Country, for their identification with a movement geared towards the growth of our nation.

“As the ruling party, we shall continue to champion and proliferate all uniting factors for further development of Nigeria and her citizens.
