My eyes are on the ball to serve Owerri senatorial zone in 2027-Opara

By Everest Ezihe, Owerri

As political activities are gathering momentum ahead of 2027 general elections, Hon. Osita Opara has boldly and courageously said that, his eyes are seriously on the ball to patriotically serve the people of Owerri senatorial zone in the nation’s Red Chambers (Senate) in the next political dispensation.

Youthful Opara who hails from Amakuta Mbieri in Mbaitoli LGA of Imo State disclosed this on Tuesday while interacting with some media executives in Owerri on the political state of the State.

He however pointed out that, “am seriously, going to make my formal declaration, but for now, am consulting my people across the 9 Local Government Areas that constitutes Owerri senatorial zone and even beyond.

“Happily the responses and encouragement are overwhelming and supportive. It’s obvious, that Owerri senatorial zone needs fresh breath through compassionate, quality, effective and trusted representations in the Senate, and am seriously willing and prepared to offer them that and even more”.

The astute politician who was one time Executive Chairman of Mbaitoli LGA and for years, a political godfather both in the senatorial zone and the State at large, informed that his campaign structure for the actualization of his divinely driven ambition is under the auspices of Osita Opara Campaign Organization.

He expressed gratitude that his campaign organization already have grassroot deep rooted structures in all the political nook and crannies of the senatorial zone, “moreso, its acceptability is massive and passionately people oriented movement due to my philanthropic nature, and leadership sacrifices to the people, after the election, the structure will be renamed Osita Opara Organization” he revealed.

On the issue of Owerri senatorial zone willingness to produce Governor Hope Uzodimma’s successor as approved by Imo State Charter of Equity and its actualization being seriously championed by Owerri Senatorial Zone Leadership Unity Forum, he applauded the ongoing sensitization and mobilization meetings of Owerri senatorial zone political leaders and stakeholders, describing it as “consolidation meeting of unity and love”.

Opara who further described himself as, “an ambassador of Imo Charter of Equity implementation”, reiterated that equity, fairness and natural justice, justifies that it’s right, proper and non negotiable for a person of Owerri senatorial zone extraction to be the successor of Governor Uzodimma in 2027.

He also seriously canvassed on the need for the people of Owerri zone to be united in the purpose, so as to bring any of their sons or daughters with patriotic antecedent and pedigree, visionary, focused and purposeful leadership qualities, experienced and maturity in understanding the needs of the State and her people, and could also consolidate on the sterling foundational gains of Uzodimma’s Shared Prosperity and 3R administrative mantras.

Opara insisted that, “the battle is not going to be a tea party as such, definitely it’s going to be highly competitive because despite the Charter of Equity favouring Owerri Senatorial Zone, the other two senatorial components of the State, will certainly not fold their hands in akimbo.

“They will definitely fight it out, with their mights, so as to ensure healthy competitiveness, so for Owerri senatorial zone to gain their sympathy and support seamlessly, it will equally depends on the quality and character of the person they’re endorsing or presenting”.

This he also described as a religious truth that calls on the need for Owerri senatorial zone political leaders and critical stakeholders to put their house in order, eschew their differences, pride and ego, and do the needful, which would be acceptable to the majority of the people.

He further patriotically advised his people of Owerri senatorial zone, on the need for them to stark their necks, and bring out their best that can give the Senatorial zone and the State qualitative and effective representations in governance, which he insisted that the people desires it most.
