N5 m For Grabs As Spires 5 Aside Enters Final Stages

A mouth-watering sum of five million naira will be up for grabs as Spires Media sponsored 5-Aside Football Tournament enters the final stages this week.

The four semi-finalists eyeing the N5 prize money are ASD Academy, All Saints FC, 2 Odds FC and White Tigers FC.
While 2 Odds FC defeated Top Rocks FC 6-1 to secure their semi-final spot, All Saints FC edged Super Eagles FC 2-1. White Tigers brushed aside the Potters FA while ASD Academy strolled to a 3-1 victory over VCD FC.
The anxiety for a place in the final is now palpable as the last four teams remain in camp ahead of the Wednesday semi- final fixtures.

The initiator of the tournament and the Chief Executive Officer of Spires MEDIA, Dr. Femi Bankole-Allibay, is so excited with the quality of matches played so far, as he looks forward to Wednesday, December 4th, 2024

“We are ready, the match between ASD Academy and All Saints FC will kick-off by 1 pm while that of 2 Odds FC and White Tigers FC is slated for 3 pm.”

Bankole-Allibay further revealed that several ex-internationals, notable football stakeholders and enthusiasts will grace the grand finale on Saturday, 7th December.

“It’s going to be a carnival like atmosphere at the Stables Football Pitch on Saturday as several big names in Nigeria football have confirmed their attendance.
“On our part we are not leaving anything out, so i will urge everyone to join us for this epoch making event, the best of 5 Aside Football Tournament in recent years.”

The winner of Spires 5-Aside Naija Street Soccer Tournament will receive the sum of 5 million Naira while the runners up will pocket 3 million. The third placed team will get 1 million naira.
There will also be individual prizes for the MVP, the Most Outstanding Goalkeeper, Best Coach, as well as the Team of the Tournament.
