City FC’s Henry David is leaving the tin city of Jos today a happy lad after the NALCOMA pre season tournament won by his club.

David is not only savouring the victory of his club but his personal award after emerging the MVP of the tournament.

The player was all smiles on Friday at the Rwang Pam Stadium after picking up the award from Chairman of the Nigeria National League (NNL) Mr George Aluo.

David who pocketed N50,000 said the award would spur him to do well this season with his Abuja based club as the NNL season gets underway on October 28.

“This is a big boost for me. I am happy to win this award and I want to say a big thank you to my club President Chidi Okonkwo and my team mates,” David said.

It would be noted that City FC finished top the NALCOMA pre season with 13 points after playing out a goalless draw with Mighty Jets in the last match of the tournament.

The club will next week jet out to Spain where they will feature in a series of friendlies.

Six NNL clubs participated in the well organised NALCOMA pre season tournament in Jos.
