Despite AFCON loss, Oyo Aquatic boss salutes Super Eagles

The Chairman Oyo State Aquatic Association Dr. Akande Kazeem has saluted the good efforts of the Super Eagles in the just concluded African Cup of Nations in Cotê D’Ivoire ; saying the boys displayed great resilience and talent of the Nigerian people.

The Educationist while speaking with the sporting press from the Republic of Benin shortly after the AFCON final called on other stakeholders to support the growth of sports within and outside Oyo State, describing sports as a veritable tool for human and economic growth

He saluted the Super Eagles of Nigeria for their tenacious performance all through the 2024 AFCON in Cotê D’Ivoire, the sacrifice that propelled them thus far in the tournament, while acknowledging the hurdles they consistently surpassed with steadily improving performance as they pulled through to the finals.

Akande, who is the Assistant Registrar of ESPAM-Formation University, Benin Republic and the Founder of Easy-Prevarsity Educational Consult, also added that “a viewing center in very conducive atmosphere was provided for Nigerian students studying in ESPAM-Formation University, Benin Republic to watch the AFCON.”

The respected philanthropist who is a recipient of many awards in Nigeria and abroad however urged the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) not to disband the team and its technical crew, but give them maximum support that will further boost their confidence to win their subsequent matches.
