National SWAN To Honour NLO Chairman Agara with Diamond Jubilee Award
The leadership of Sports Writers Association of Nigeria ( SWAN) has announced that the Chairman of Nationwide League One (NLO), His Excellency Silas Agara will receive it’s prestigious Diamond Jubilee Award.
In a statement by the association signed by the National Secretary, the award is in recognition of his numerous contributions to sports development and the transformation that has been witnessed in the third tier league since his assumption of office
” The entire sports writing fraternity in Nigeria is particularly impressed with your immense contributions to sports development in Nigeria and the transformation that is currently going on in the NLO which qualifies you for this award”, said the statement.
The SWAN Diamond Jubilee Award will be bestowed on him and other eminent Nigerians on Friday, October 31, 2025 at the MKO Abiola Stadium, Abuja, as part of activities marking 60 years of excellence in Nigerian sports journalism.
