FASU Games: UNILAG bounce back in basketball, beat Ghana Tech in second game

After narrowly losing their first game 64-65 to Guinea, University of Lagos basketball team came up strongly against Ghana Communication Technology University in their second game on Wednesday.
The team urged on by their students came smoking against the Ghanaians who were not intimidated by the vociferous crowd but held their own from the first to the final quarter.
However, the more resilient Akoka boys made good use of rebound and three points throw to ensure they keep the rampaging boys from Accra in check and took the first quarter 17-9
On resumption of the second quarter, the Ghanaians rediscovered themselves, contending every ball which paid off, forcing the quarter to end 22-22.
University of Lagos came back strongly in the third quarter with Ghana Tech students committing many fouls to the advantage of their opponents which ensured that the Nigerians won the quarter 37-31.
The last and decisive fourth quarter, saw both teams trying out themselves but at the end of the game UNILAG won the game by 56-33 points.
