
The Nigeria Boxing Federation (NBF) has appointed Ex-international Mr. Adura Olaleyin as its Technical Director.
Alaleyin is a Commonwealth Games silver medalist with ample experience across the boxing firmament.
As a coach, Adura led the Nigerian team to “historic success” at the 2024 African Games, where his prowess proved nifty to the nation’s triumph in the squared ropes sports. He was also on the ring side as head coach of team Nigeria to the Paris 2024 Olympics.
The globally exposed boxing devotee has also served as the Southwest representative on the NBF board from 2021 to 2025.
The NBF trust that Olaleyin’s wealth of experience and unwavering resolve to the advancement of Olympic style boxing in Nigeria will significantly contribute to the success of the Federation.
As the Technical Director, Mr. Adura Olaleyin will work under the guidance of the (NBF) Technical Committee chaired by the elected board members.
The (NBF) President Hon. Wale Edun has pledged to reform boxing in the country through the strategic implementation of his vision and policies for the overall development of the sports.
The nation’s Finance Minister further called on boxing stakeholders to support the new NBF board in the actualization of its plans and programs for the squared ropes sport in the country.
