NDG: Edo State Sports Commission Mgt Visits, Appreciates Athletes

With two days to the commencement of the second Niger Delta Games in Benin, the Executive Chairman, Edo State Sports Commission Hon Amadin Desmond Enabulele has encouraged team Edo athletes to be bold and strong like Lions and soar like Eagles when the competition begins, insisting that he believes in their capacity to deliver.
The Edo State Sports Commission boss gave the charge when he led his management team which includes the Permanent Secretary Mrs. Patricia Efe-Amenze, Executive Director Sports Development and Operations Mrs. Sabina Chikere, Home Baldwin Bazuaye, MON, Barr Anthony Ikhulobe, the Director of Sports Development and Operations Mr Igie Kingsley and other senior staff on a routine visit to the GRA camp of team Edo on Wednesday evening.
He expressed Management appreciation to the coaches and athletes for their patience and sacrifices so far since they left their immediate families and moved into the camp in their preparation for the Games.
” We are here to appreciate you and to admonish you as we are close to the commencement of the Games. We want to say thank you for your patience, perseverance and your sacrifices since you came into this camp for the final preparations for the second Niger Delta Games.”
” We have confidence in you people and believe in your ability to deliver for your dear state. We are here to let you know that we care for you. The Niger Delta Games will kick off in two days time. You should remember that we are the host and you are not only representing yourself, you are representing your family and your state.”
” As you prepare ahead of the games, remember that discipline is our watchword. So, we admonish you to be disciplined throughout. When you work hard, aim higher, discipline should be added as that is the sure way to victory and success.
“Being Ambassadors of the state, you must conduct yourselves in an orderly manner throughout.
We urge you to abide by the rules of the game. Respect your coaches’ decisions. If you have any issues or any complaints, discuss it with your coaches and other top officials. We shall respond.
“Be strong and bold like Lions and soar like Eagles and go for gold as good ambassadors of Edo state. Thank you for all that you have done. There is a reward for all of us.” He emphasized.
