Fuelling the Spirit of Sports in Nigeria: PremiumTrust Bank emerges as Headline Sponsor of Abuja City International Half Marathon

foremost sports management company, Nilayo Sports
Management Limited, Mr. Ebidowei Oweifie, has declared that one of its prominent clients, Premium Trust Bank, has emerged headline
sponsor of the 2024 Abuja City International Half marathon which
holds on April 20, 2024.
In an official statement released by Nilayo Sports Management Limited, Oweife stated that as a Bank that has sports running in its DNA, it’s commitment to the advancement of youth and sports development is evident through the bank’s continuous
collaborations and active engagement in nurturing and supporting sports initiatives across the country.
“As a bank with a global outlook and deep-rooted belief in the power of sports to inspire, unite, and transform lives, PremiumTrust
Bank has made significant strides in promoting sporting excellence and empowering young talents across the nation”, he said.
Applauding Premium Trust Bank’s effort in promoting sports in Nigeria, he noted that apart from being the headline sponsor of the
2024 Abuja City International Half Marathon, last year the Bank in its dynamic nature of developing Nigerian sports and the athletes, went a step further in its commitment to sporting excellence, by signing the Women’s 100m hurdles World Record Holder, Oluwatobiloba Amusan, and Women’s Long Jump Gold Medalist, Ese Brume, who both dominated their respective sports at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, as brand ambassadors.
He also stated that as a Bank that is passionate about sports in Nigeria, the Bank signed a three-year partnership deal with the Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN).
“This collaboration, which will include training programmes and grassroots initiatives will bolster the development of athletics, nurturing a new generation of track and field talents”, he added.
