NFF President Gusau Sends New Year Message, Calls for Unity and Progress in 2026
President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Alhaji Ibrahim Gusau, has sent a heartfelt New Year message to Nigerians and stakeholders in the nation’s football family as the country steps into 2026
In a statement released by the NFF Communications Department, Gusau expressed appreciation to the federation’s sponsors, partners and the millions of football-loving Nigerians whose passion continues to give life to the beautiful game.
“As we usher in 2026, the Nigeria Football Federation extends its warmest wishes to our sponsors, partners, and most importantly, the millions of fans who breathe life into the beautiful game,” the message read.
The NFF president emphasized unity, optimism and collective responsibility, noting that the new year presents another opportunity to strengthen Nigerian football at all levels.
“May 2026 be better for us as one football family, driven by passion, progress, and pride,” Gusau added.
