By Akeem Busari

The National Chairman of Nigeria Football Supporters Club, Ambassador(Rev). Samuel Ikpea, has released a statement on behalf of the renowned and foremost fans group, commending President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Minister of Sports Development, Senator John Owan Enoh, for putting up sterling performances in their one-year in office.

In his statement, Ikpea began by commending President Tinubu’s foresight and leadership skills for demerging sports from the former ministry, thus reducing bureaucracy and bottlenecks hitherto hampering the holistic development of sports in the country.

“The past one year, has seen sports development enjoying a breath of refreshing air. I must say that, Presisent Bola Tinubu has hit the bull’s eyes with the appointment of Senator John Owan Enoh, as the minister for sports development,” Ikpea remarked.

“We also witnessed how the minister was able to get President Tinubu to clear the over N12 billion debts of the previous administration. That’s the signature of a focused and truly committed sports leader.

“Like a wise king, Senator Enoh consulted widely with sports technocrats at the beginning of his journey. So far, the results have been quite impressive, because virtually all sports federations in Nigeria, are presently performing well.”

“Therefore, on behalf of NFSC and all sports lovers in Nigeria, I say a big congratulations to the Honourable Minister of Sports Development, Senator John Enoh, for the feats he has achieved so far.

“As we earnestly look forward to more postively rewarding, peaceful and prosperous years ahead for Nigeria, we pray that God grant President Tinubu and his entire cabinet members, better health, longer life and more wisdom, to the benefits of the country,” Ikpea prayed.
