Nigeria Customs, Vipers & Partners Set to Fly Nigeria’s Flag at Africa Women’s Club Volleyball Championship in Egypt
The Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF) has announced that two of the nation’s top women’s volleyball clubs; Nigeria Customs Service Female Volleyball Team and Vipers & Partners Female Volleyball Team will represent the country at the upcoming Africa Women’s Club Volleyball Championship in Egypt.
Both teams are expected to depart the country this weekend, fully prepared to compete against some of Africa’s finest clubs under the auspices of the Confederation of African Volleyball.
Their participation marks another important milestone in Nigeria’s growing presence and competitiveness in continental volleyball.
The Nigeria Customs team enters the tournament with a strong reputation built on discipline, structure, and consistency. Known as one of the country’s most formidable sides, they bring a wealth of experience and tactical depth that could see them progress deep into the competition.
Meanwhile, Vipers & Partners continue to inspire with their rapid rise and ambition. The club’s qualification highlights the increasing impact of grassroots development and private-sector investment in Nigerian volleyball, reflecting a broader expansion of the sport’s talent base.
Speaking ahead of the teams’ departure, NVBF President Musa Nimrod expressed confidence in both sides, praising their preparation and professionalism.
He noted that the teams have earned the right to represent Nigeria and are well-positioned to showcase the nation’s strength on the continental stage.
The championship, held annually, provides a platform for elite competition, exposure, and continental ranking, bringing together top clubs from across Africa.
