NNL Expels Sporting Supreme From League, Bans Team For Five Years

The Nigeria National League ( NNL) has expelled Abuja based team, Sporting Supreme FC from the League following their inability to honour two matches in the ongoing 2025/2026 League season.

According to a statement by the League body, the club failed to honour 2 consecutive matches; an away fixture ( Match Number 23) against Jigawa Golden Stars and a Matchday 26 home fixture against Ranchers FC which is against the rules and regulations of the league as stipulated in
articles 3.7, 14.9.1, 14.10 and 14.11.1.

Apart from being expelled from the league, the club was also fined the sum of Ten million naira (N10,000,000.00) only for not honouring their match day 6 and 7 fixtures respectively.
The league body also cancelled all the club’s
played and outstanding matches and nullified all points for and against the Abuja based side
Meanwhile, in accordance with article 3.7 of NNL rule book, Sporting Supreme FC, Management and Officials were also banned from participating in the NNL for a period of five years.
