NNL Super 8: Aluo salutes Nasarawa state Deputy Governor, Akabe

As the Super 8 championship of the Nigeria National League (NNL) comes to an end, NNL Chairman, George Aluo, has described the Deputy Governor of Nasarawa state, Dr Emmanuel Akabe as a committed supporter and lover of the game of football.
Aluo, who spoke after the Super 8 final game between winners, Beyond Limits Academy and Nasarawa United of Lafia in Enugu, saluted Akabe for gracing the match, saying his mass support for the state club, Nasarawa United has aided the club to regain promotion to the elite Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
The Deputy Governor who did the kick off for the finals was on hand to cheer his state side, Nasarawa United as they gained promotion to return to the premier league.
The NNL Chairman emphasized that the deputy governor has never seized in his support for his state club, stressing that he has remained a major boost to the Solid Miners since the commencement of the league till the end.

“The Nasarawa state deputy governor has been very supportive, both to the league body and his home club, Nasarawa United. The Deputy Governor was on top of the situation when we did the NNL season opener (Star match of week one) at the Lafia City Stadium. He has always expressed his passion for football which no doubt has yielded dividend for Nasarawa United.
“We at the NNL are so grateful and appreciate the support of Dr. Akabe and the Governor Engr Sule. Nasarawa is blessed to have a governor and deputy governor who are very passionate about the game. They were both at the forefront of Nasarawa United’s quest to return to premier league.
“We urge the state government to keep the fire burning and not to relent in their support for the development of the game both in the state and beyond,” Aluo stated.
