ABM boss, Mbata salutes Uzodimma over Heartland’s NPFL return

Business mogul cum politician, Prince Alex Mbata (ABM) has congratulated Imo State governor, Hope Uzodimma on the return of Heartland FC to the elite class of the nation’s domestic league.

Mbata in a chat with the media in Lagos said the immediate return of Heartland to the top class clearly shows that Gov Uzodimma is not toying with sports and the youths generally.

“I want to congratulate His Excellency Gov Hope Uzodimma on this laudable feat and also commend him for what he is doing in the area of sports development. Imo just hosted the national divisions one and two handball league and all those who were in the Owerri for that event confessed that Imo is peaceful and safe,” Mbata stated.

The youthful businessman who is an APC stalwart charged the management of Heartland to ensure the club performs well next term declaring that they can not afford to make the same mistakes that saw the team being relegated.

Heartland yesterday qualified for the NPFL after beating Sporting Lagos in the Super 8 at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba.

The Owerri side will tomorrow face Kano Pillars in the Super 8 final that would determine who emerges the NNL champions of the 2023 season.
