NPFL: Bendel Insurance, Plateau Utd midweek match rescheduled
Following the adjustment in the Nigeria Premier Football League(NPFL ) Match Day 3 fixtures,the midweek match involving Bendel Insurance Football Club of Benin and Plateau Utd of Jos has been rescheduled to hold on Saturday, October 14, 2023.
According to a circular from the league management, the Match earlier scheduled to hold Wednesday, October 11 is now expected to hold on Saturday at the Samuel Ogbemudia stadium, Benin. City
The Benin Arsenals and Plateau Utd met twice last season with the former picking four points out of the six points available in the two legged fixture.
Insurance defeated the former league champions 2-1 at the Samuel Ogbemudia stadium and later pulled a 1-1 away draw in Jos.
The Benin Arsenals began the 2023/24 football season last weekend with a convincing 2-0 win over Shooting Stars and hope to continue in that fashion on Saturday.
Insurance returned to the Premier League last season after many years in relegation, and finished the season in the fifth position after the Super Six.
The Benin Arsenals had finished the abridged league without losing any match before going ahead to win the FA Cup.
All eyes are now on the current Federation Cup champions as they have already started the new season on a winning note.
