By Akeem Busari

After taking a day off, the teams resumed and apparently refreshed on Thursday for Matchday 3 hostilities at the same venue in the Ikenne centre.

In the opening game of the day, Kwara United boldly restated their intentions to make themselves proud in the championship, as they put a disappointing Shooting Stars to the swords with three unreplied goals.
The second game between Bendel Insurance and Sunshine Stars ended in a disappointing goalless draw.

The highlight of the day was the mouth-watering encounter between Remo Stars and Ikorodu City, who were in first and second positions respectively on the table. And true to expectations, neither team gave any room for slip-up. As they shared the spoils in a scoreless draw.

Meanwhile, Isah Ibrahim of Ikorodu City leads the scorers chat with 3 goals, followed by Akinocchio Mervielle of Remo Stars on 2 goals and the duo of Mubaraq Hamed and Adebayo Oni of Kwara United, also on 2 goals.
