NSC DG, NFF President to Lead Dignitaries to November 2025/2026 Edition of NNL/PROSTAR INT’L/SPORTLIGHT Hub Monthly Award

The Director General of the National Sports Commission Bukola Olopade, President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Alhaji Ibrahim Gusau, will headline an impressive list of dignitaries expected at the November edition of the NNL/PROSTAR INT’L/SPORTLIGHT Hub monthly award scheduled to hold on 16th December 2025 at Westpoint Hotel, Wuse Zone 7, behind FRSC FCT Command, Abuja.
The highly anticipated event, which celebrates excellence and growth within the Nigeria National League (NNL), will welcome top personalities from across the football community and the Nigerian sports industry. Among the notable invitees are the Director General of the National Institute For Sports, Comrade Philip Shaibu; veteran journalist and broadcaster, Mainasara Ilo; and former Super Eagles international, Daniel Amokachi, alongside several other distinguished guests.
This edition which incidentally is the first in the new NNL season, will honour outstanding performers whose contributions stood out during recent NNL engagements.
Award Recipients Includes
• Highest Goal Scorer: Michael Adegbite (Crown FC) — Scored 3 goals in 2 matches, including a brilliant brace.
• Most Valuable Player (MVP): Michael Adegbite (Crown FC) — Recognised for his consistency, creativity, and impact on the pitch.
• Best Referee: Abdulwahab Jibrin — From the Katsina Referees Council, honoured for professionalism and fairness.
• Best Goalkeeper: Majayogbe Muyiwa ( Crown FC) — Celebrated for his commanding presence and crucial saves.
• Best Coach: Najeeb Mabo, Chief Coach of Doma United FC — Recognised for tactical brilliance and team discipline.
• Best Goal: Ogonyi Matthew Okpahe
(Doma United FC) — Awarded for his outstanding strike on Match Day 3 in the fixture between Doma United FC and ABS FC.
Mighty Jets of Jos emerged as the Best Behaved Team.
As preparations intensify, organisers say the gathering will not only celebrate individual excellence but also continue to strengthen the platform for identifying talent and improving the standards of Nigerian football at the league level.
The NNL/PROSTAR/SPORTLIGHT Hub continues to position itself as one of the country’s most influential football development initiatives, drawing high-level attention and reinforcing its impact with each edition.
