NWL: Ahudiyannem coach, Nwaneri Rues Missed Chances Against Robo Queens

Coach of Ahudiyannem Queens of Abiriba, Abia State, Adanba Nwaneri has lamented the missed scoring chances of her team when they hosted Robo Queens of Lagos at the Enyimba Stadium, Aba on Wednesday, April, 8, 2026.

The National Women League Group B encounter ended 1-1 which Nwaneri attributed to her team’s inability to convert their chances.

” We played very well against FC Robo but couldn’t convert our chances. Although Fc Robo is a very good side but we never planned to share points with them. Our plan was to grab all the three points at stake but my players missed a lot of scoring chances which would have sealed the game for us”, noted the coach who has never lost a game since she took over the club some few weeks ago.

On what to expect in their next game against her former club Delta Queens, the soft talking gaffer, whose team has won three matches and drew two since she took over including a hard-fought 1–0 away victory against Sunshine Queens in Akure, stated that nothing
short of victory will satisfy her since her mission is to ensure the team maintains a comfortable position on the league log at the end of the season.

” Right now, we’ve put the draw behind us and are preparing seriously for our next game against Delta Queens which I believe we’re going to win.

” You’re quite aware that Delta Queens was the last club I played for after my sojourn with Ufuoma Babes before becoming a coach. So I understand the psychology of the team and that’s what is going to help us in Asaba”, she sounded confidently

She was also full of praises to the President of the club, Dr. Chief Robert Onyeani ( Rocco) for his support to the team, pleadging that they’ll not disappoint him.

” Our President is a man who understands football very well. He provides everything we need, both cash and logistics, pays salaries and bonuses as and at when due and flies the team to match venues and as such we can’t afford to disappoint such a man”, she concluded
