Onyejose Wins 10th Tiger Ladies Open, L/Captain Thanks Sponsors

Mary Onyejose has emerged winner of the 10th Tiger Ladies Open 2022 held over the weekend inside the Adekunle Fajuyi Cantonment, Oojo Ibadan with scores of 174 gross over two days to beat Marcus Susan with 179 on count back and Hawa Adamu with scores of 179, both from Tukur Buratai Golf Club Abuja to runners and second runners-up respectively.
Onyejosi who is also former Lady Captain of Tiger Golf Club in her remarks after the event expressed joy for winning her first major title in her 11 years of golfing career, dedicating the victory to the God almighty and her fellow executives of Tiger Ladies section and her immediate family for their supports.
“I feel very excited for winning a major tournament like this for the first time and I am dedicating this victory to the God almighty, my fellow executives of the Tiger Ladies section and my family for their support. I trained very well and put lots of hard work ahead of this tournament coupled with my role as the Chairman planning committee, but never thought of winning it”, she noted.
The Lady Captain, Patience Ekwere in her speech thanked the captain of the club and his executive committee, senior officers serving and retired, the sponsors, and all those that are in one way or the other contributed to the successful hosting of the big golf event.
“May I specifically thank the President of the Ladies Golf Association of Nigeria (LGAN), Mrs. Juliet monyei-Inyere and our first vice President Mrs. Evelyn Oyome. LGAN committee members, past Presidents here present for their immense support. And I would like to thank the West and central African Region Trustee of the All African Challenge Trophy, Mrs. Ekanem Ekwueme for coming to this great club for the first time”, said the TGC Lady Captain.
She added that “my big appreciations goes to the sponsors which include: Nigeria Breweries, Bravo Construction, Toposyi Realtors, Hybridgolf and Corporate Promotions, Smart Space, Aramanda, PG Security Services, Horla-Mat Ventures and The Blue Bermondsey Stores among others”.
