NPFL Play Off: Rivers United import Gibson targets Liberian national team

Rivers United Liberian import, Gibson Mark says his ultimate ambition is to play for the Leone Stars of Liberia.

Gibson whose introduction into his team’s match against hard fighting Sunshine Stars at the ongoing Super 6 at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena ( Onikan), Lagos  helped in earning his side a penalty kick in the encounter told our correspondent shortly after the game that he’s happy helping his team beat Sunshine Stars, promising to continue to do more for the Pride of Rivers

He was emphatic that though he’s enjoying his game in Nigeria but his ultimate ambition is to play for the Liberian national team.

“I’m enjoying my game with Rivers United and happy that Coach Eguma has a lot of confidence on my ability to deliver when it matters most but most importantly my dream is to keep on improving on my game so that I will have a chance to be invited to okay for the Liberian national team”, he sounded confidently.

Gibson commended the management of GTI for it’s huge investment in Nigerian league as well as the League Management Committee for doing a great job even as he expressed confidence that very soon, many players from the African continent will be eyeing to ply their trade in Nigeria.
