Ogun Edge Delta In Thriller As Handball Heats Up at the National Sports Festival

Hosts Ogun State gave their fans something to cheer about on Day 4 of the handball event at the National Sports Festival in Ogun State, grinding out a dramatic 21–20 victory over a determined Delta side in the men’s category.
The pulsating encounter at the Alake Sports Center handball court lived up to its billing, with both teams locked at 10–10 at halftime. Ogun, spurred on by home support, held their nerves in the final moments to claim the narrow win and boost their hopes of progressing to the next round.
In other matches in the men’s category, Team Edo earned a 30–19 win over Adamawa. Edo established early control with a 15–10 first-half lead and maintained their momentum throughout the game to get a comfortable victory
Lagos also impressed, cruising past Osun with a comfortable 29–18 scoreline. The Lagosians led 15–10 at halftime and never looked threatened as they controlled the pace and flow of the match from start to finish.
In the final men’s fixture of the day, FCT proved too strong for Niger, securing a solid 26–21 win. The capital side led 12–10 at the break and continued to pile pressure in the second half to seal the five-goal margin.
In the only match in the female category, Oyo State outclassed Imo in a highly competitive tie, winning 31–26. Oyo held a narrow 16–14 lead at halftime but pulled away in the second half to earn a victory
