Ogun FA boss, Majekodunmi gives full marks to NNL

Chairman of Ogun State FA and executive board member of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Alhaji Ganiyu Majekodunmi has given full marks to the nation’s second tier league (NNL).

Majekodunmi who spoke on Saturday after watching the encounter between Beyond Limits and Inter Lagos at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne said what he saw was football at its best.

In Majekodunmi’s word…”I watched football at its best. I couldn’t believe it was an NNL game. The two teams played very well. Officiating was excellent and the arena, Remo Stars Stadium itself is magnificent. This is what we want to see in the domestic scene. I want to commend the leadership of NNL and the NFF president Alhaji Ibrahim Gusau who is giving the league boards all the support they need to deliver.”

Majekodunmi urged the nation’s soccer fans to always be at the various stadiums in the country to support their teams and eschew violence.

“Our leagues are getting better, there is great improvement and the fans need to identify with the various leagues. They should also eschew violence while supporting their teams,” Majekodunmi stated.

It would be noted that the Beyond Limits, Inter Lagos tie ended goalless a situation that keeps the NPFL promotion ticket in the Conference wide open.
