Ohanweh, Ngobiwu others honour Chika Uju at 59

Last Monday’s, 59th birthday celebration of Hon.Chika Uju at a prestigious hotel in Owerri, Imo State Capital has remained an evergreen as HRM Eze Dr. Oliver Ohanweh, Obi Gburugburu of Igboland and the traditional ruler of Isiama ancient kingdom with Hon. Celestine Ngobiwu, High Chief Uchendu Ahaneku and Hon. Victor Diala were among the eminent personalities that graced the historic event.
It was a day of encomium for the grand mother Journalist turned politician as each guest took time to applaud her numerous humanitarian services, antecedents and pedigree.
Eze Ohanweh described her as a consummated Journalist, beauty with brain, a socialite and a human oriented politician that deserves a national honour in terms of services and philantrophy.
The reverred traditional ruler recalled how the celebrant used to cover the activities of the traditional rulers in Imo State with professional finesse and dignity and prayed for God’s infinite mercy upon her life.
Arch. Achugo Uche, the President General of Eziachi ancient community in Orlu local government area of Imo State who’s the blood brother of the celebrant said that the celebrant is a role model and daughter of destiny right from childhood and the family is very much proud of her as an Ambassador of Peace and Social Justice.
Uche who attended the occasion with his pretty wife enjoined the celebrant not to relent in her efforts to help humanity and transform the society.
For Lady Chika Ewurum, a Journalist with Heartland FM expressed gratitude to God for her age long relationship with the celebrant, whom she described as a woman of social justice with golden heart, recalling that her constituency Nkwerre LGA never made mistake in recognizing her as a golden lady who’s one in a million.
Her younger sister, Mrs. Uche Ihim informed that Uju is a leader par excellence and leader of their Umuada village meeting.
Ihim described her as an embodiment of human hood with masculine attributes and enjoined God to shower her with abundant blessings.
Comrade Emma Chukwu further described her as a great Journalist and a compassionate mother even as he recalled her immense generousity to him when he was sick, while
Comrade Charles Nwankwo,( Enyi ) described her as a woman of analytical mind, indomitable courage and a socialite with a class.
Lady Juliet Dim noted her as an embodiment of good character, steadfastness and excellent in all ramifications of human endaevours, very cheerful, carefree and truthful.
Barr. Vivian Iwu, who’s a Journalist turned Legal icon addressed the celebrant as a kitchen cabinet member of the big 6 that even though they have their issues but she respects her as a strong spirited lady that’s steadfast in doing good and prayed for God’s abundant blessings upon her
Hon. Victor Diala, a renowned politician noted that the life of the celebrant is full of challenges, testimonies and worthy of emulation.
Diala informed with nostalgia that the celebrant lost her husband at young age and with 5 little children but out of sheer hard work, determination, focus and fear of God she trained all the children up to University level and today all the children are well positioned.
“She never abused her self but worked assiduously to train the children in fear of God and dignity and all of them are today graduates and doing extending very well” he said.
Diala also observed that she’s not materialistic and further described her as Mother Theresa in Philantrophy and work in progress in the hands of God.
He revealed that plans have been advanced to launch a foundation for the less privileged and poorest of the poor by the celebrant on 26th of September, 2024.
However, Ambassador Chika Uju, the celebrant expressed gratitude for the attendance and encomium poured on her person and assured not to relent in her services to God and humanity.
