
Nationwide League one outfit, Best Talent Football Club of Mowe continued their impressive run in pre-season friendlies with a hard-fought 2–0 victory over Greenlock FC at Ebiede Stadium, Sagamu, Ogun State on Saturday 11th October, 2025 in an encounter that thrilled the fans.
After a cagey opening half hour where both sides struggled to find the breakthrough, Okon broke the deadlock before the close of first half with a composed side-foot finish that left the GreenLock defense flat-footed.
As GreenLock FC pushed forward in search of an equaliser, the Mowe Giants secured the win through Jamiu, who capitalised on a sleepy blunder of their opponents and doubled the lead in the second half.
The statistics reflected Best Talent dominance, with 65% possession, 16 shots (8 on target), and 11 corners compared to GreenLock FC 5 shots (1 on target) and 5 corners. Both teams finished without any dismissals, though the match saw a combined few yellow cards.
The victory solidifies Adeyinka Adeyemo’s boys hold as they’re on 12 wins, one draw and a loss, while they are gearing up for the new season.
