Olajumoke Olabisi Emerges APGA Candidate for Ibadan North Bye-Election

..Pledges to Tackle Youth Unemployment, Boost Livelihood

Hon. Chief Mrs. Odususi Olajumoke Olabisi has officially emerged as the standard flagbearer of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) for the August 2025 bye-election in Ibadan North Federal Constituency, Oyo State.
Speaking after securing the party’s ticket, Olajumoke Olabisi, who is popularly known as Oba Obirin, expressed deep gratitude to the leadership of APGA and fellow aspirants for what she described as a show of unity and internal democracy.

“I am honoured by this trust, and I do not take it for granted. I thank the party leaders and every stakeholder who made this possible. I also salute my leaders, from the State Party Chairman, Mr. Gbenga Adeniyi; the State Secretary, Mr. Gbola Salami; and the Deputy National Chairman of the Southwest, Chief Suraj Owolabi, for their show of love and support,” Oba Obinrin stated.

She further assured the people of Ibadan North of her commitment to tackling one of the constituency’s most pressing challenges; youth unemployment.
According to her, job creation and sustainable economic empowerment will be his foremost agenda if elected.

“I have plans to organise vocational programs to empower the youths of Ibadan North. All youths must be skilled, as I will work with the management of the University of Ibadan to implement research that will benefit my constituency,” she noted.

She emphasized the importance of collaboration with local businesses to ensure that these programs align with market needs, by fostering partnerships and creating internship opportunities; saying her goal is to bridge the gap between education and employment for the youth in Ibadan North.
