Organiser Plans For More Improvements As Sandie Beach Rugby Eleven Ends In Lagos
The 2023 Sandie Beach Rugby Eleven has come and gone but the organiser has promised to build on the positives from the unique fiesta.
Sandie Beach Rugby remains the only event where the game is infused with entertainment right on the beach.
Usually held twice in a year at Easter and end of the year, the show has grown from it’s first ever edition to the 11th which was concluded last week.
Tubosun Johnson who has nurtured the event as head of Turbo Crest Sports said they are not resting on their oars in getting the events to a premium level.
“As for satisfaction we can never be satisfied. We will always strive to do better than our previous achievements.”
He added that he was well encouraged by the number of enthusiasts and supporters who added a festive ambience at the venue.
“The turnout was encouraging but there’s plenty of room for improvement, Landmark Beach is a new experience for us and we will build on that.”
He was full of appreciation for Famboss Nigeria Limited, KTS Oil and Gas, Mariteam Nigeria Limited, Whassan Nigeria Limited, Nigerians in Diaspora (Singapore chapter), Megalectrics, Supersport and Aristo Mi-Mix Multimedia who gave the event a solid backbone.
Ghana’s Accra Rugby team won the title at the Landmark Beach Resort in Lagos after an energetic and entertaining contest in a round robin format that included Cowrie RFC, Racing RFC and Kings Rugby team.
