Osbodi Rates ITTF Africa West Regional Championship High

President of African Table Tennis Federation, Wahid Enitan Osbodi said he’s happy with this year’s ITTF Africa West Regional Championship, positing that it has led to discovering many talented young players.
The sub- regional tournament kicked off from July, 16 -19 at the Molade Okoya Thomas Indoor Sports Hall of Teslim Balogun Stadium Surulere Lagos attracting the best players from such countries as host nation, Nigeria, Ghana, Cote d’Ivoire, Niger, Benin Republic, Togo and others and Osbodi believes that the competition achieved the desired result.
” There’s no gainsaying that the championship achieved it’s objectives because it had been four days of action packed displays with many talented young players discovered.
” One good lesson from the tournament is that table tennis is fast developing in the West African sub- region and we as the continental body will continue to champion that development.
Osbodi who also doubles as Executive Vice President of the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) further assured that the WTT Contender Lagos serving off Tuesday, 22, July, 2025 will witness a lot of fire works as some of the best players in the world will be coming to Nigeria to be part of the tournament.
He urged Nigerians to come out on their numbers to watch the best of tennis.
