Owo church attack: Saigon boss commiserates with victims, demands justice

The CEO of Saigon Worldwide, Prince Adekunle Ojo has described the recent attack on St Francis Catholic Church, Owo, Ondo State as sad day in the  nation’s history, the Yoruba nation in general and  Ondo state in particular even as he commiserates with the victims and people and government of Ondo State.

Last Sunday, suspected gunmen attacked worshipers at the church and killed more than 30 worshippers and left many others with various degrees of injuries.

In his words, Prince Adekunle, owner of Saigon Worldwide, a fashion home with head office in South Africa explained that the ungodly incident is a threat to the foundation and existence of Nigeria. He urged security agencies and various arms of the government to do the needful and ensure that the perpetrators of the inhuman act are arrested and brought to justice.

“Owo is close to my home. I am a native of Akure, the capital of Ondo State and the people of Owo are very close to my heart. I hope our leaders will definitely do the right thing for the people of Ondo and fish out the devilish people involved in order to stop such barbaric incidents from reoccurring”.

He described the perpetrators of the gory attack as evil:  saying they should be ready to face the wrath of God. Just as he reminded them that anybody that takes away the souls of the innocent must surely pay a price for his deeds.

“The Federal Government must rise up to its responsibility, start a detailed investigation into the attack and also bring the perpetrators of this gory incident to book. Investigation into the Owo Catholic bomb attack should not be swept under the carpet as usual. Those that carried out the attack are living souls and not ghosts; therefore they must be apprehended without wasting time.”

His thought and prayers goes to the families of everyone affected by this terrorist act as he also prayed that the Lord will accept the souls of those who died.

In a related development, Norwood young stars owner Venita Masisi has expressed delight with the new sponsorship deal the team received from a good Samaritan, Adekunle Ojo and hoped that it can propel them to even greater heights.

Made up of mostly West African players, the team competes in the Alexandra North Rand Local Football Association Promotional League.

“We have been begging for help since 2013. We are ecstatic now, my boys are so appreciative and grateful and this means a lot to us.”

On his part Ojo said football has always been part of his life and he was inspired by seeing young players giving their best and trying to make it to professional level.

“It is up to the players now to prove their worth. We can put all the money and facilities in place but the players have to show up,” he said.
