Owolabi, Adepoju others to grace Above 50 Football draws
Organisers of the second edition of the Above 50 Football Competition have announced that ex- international, Dr. Felix Akinloye Owolabi A.K.A ‘Owoblow’ will lead other ex- internationals to the draws of the competition to be held at the Responsible Leaders Hotel, Alausa, Ikeja on Sunday March, 30, 2025.
According to a statement by the Chairman of the Main Organising Committee, Dr. Rafiu Oladipo, other important personalities who will be part of the draw includes former Super Eagles players; Mutiu Adepoju A.K.A Headmaster, Tajudeen Disu and the immediate past Chairman of Surulere Local Government Area, Honourable Tajudeen Ajide.

Oladipo who also doubles as President General of Nigeria Football Supporters Club, while explaining that 16 teams will participate in the competition being put together for senior citizens who have played football at the national and international level said that the full compliments of the Supporters Club will also be there to add glamour to the event
“You’re aware that the first edition of the tournament was a huge success and we’re poised to organise an even more successful second edition.
“The President of Above 50 Football Tournament Ambassador Dr. Edwin Olutoke as usual want to see the retired players, recreate, relax, entertain people, reconnect and share business ideas as he believes that life is just starting at 50.
