Former Anambra State governor and Presidential candidate of Labour Party in the 2023 general election, Peter Obi has thrown his weight behind NNL newcomers Ijele FC of Enugu.
This much has been confirmed by Chairman of the club Victor Edeh who shared pictures of where he was handing over the club jersey to Obi recently.
Edeh stated that Obi is the club’s latest member even as he added that he is looking forward to a fantastic season.
IJele would start their NNL campaign when they welcome Inter Lagos in what promises to be a highly entertaining game.
