Petrol officially increased above N850 Per liter
The Federal Government has officially increased the price of petrol to more than N850 per liter.
A visit to some NNPC filling stations in Lagos and those monitored in Abuja indicates that they have adjusted the pump price of fuel from N568 to over N800 per litre.
A visit by our correspondent to some NNPCL retail stations in Lagos shows that are selling fuel between N865 to N897 per litre.
In Alausa, the pump price of the NNPC station reads N865 while others in Ikeja displayed N868 and N897.
Fuel queues have been noticed in major cities in the last few weeks with Nigerians unable to get fuel.
The NNPCL at the weekend admitted it was owing over 8bn dollars fuelling speculation that there may be increase in the pump price of fuel.
It must be noted that NNPC officially controls the price of fuel in the country and whenever the price increases from NNPC, it officially gets increased in other filling stations
