FC Esmoriz of Portugal has made history by appointing a 20 years old Nigerian as the club’s chief scout in Africa.
In his letter of appointment, Oluwademilade Ajibade, a former footballer who horned his football skills and knowledge at the famous Brooklyn College in the UK, also had a brief playing stint with Tonic FC, before he quit playing to face an aspect of the game he claims he is passionate about.
Talking about the unprecedented appointment that makes him the youngest football scout for a professional club, Ajibade was quick to attribute his fast growing knowledge of the game to his famous father, Prince Dapo Ajibade, who is a reputable football administrator.
On the challenges and expectations of his onerous job, he expressed his excitement and growing desires to scout potential great talents for FC Esmoriz, as well as, other top clubsides around the world.
He also disclosed that in some of his moves since his appointment as the Chief Scout in Africa for the club, the reactions of football coaches and enthusiasts has been one of pleasant surprises, encouragement and the desires to work with him.
He added that his appointment would go a long way to encourage other young lads to go into football management.
